Installation - The Resort

The Resort is an extra large and extra strong sidepost structure. To ensure longevity, it needs to be assembled and installed professionally . Because it is designed to handle strong winds, it is recommended that the Resort be either anchored to a substantial concrete slab or installed in-ground. We do not suggest using the Resort on a timber deck, nor do we offer any type of portable base. Due to the heavy nature of the Resort (weighing approximately 150kg ) it is not intended to be removed except in preparation for very severe weather conditions, therefore a Base Plate is not necessary.

Spigot is included
with each Resort
Resort
In-Ground Fitting (optional)

The mast of the Resort fits directly onto the Spigot as a sleeve. The Resort Spigot may be bolted directly into concrete if the concrete pad is substantial and in good condition, but wherever possible we recommend using a Resort In Ground Fitting for extra stability. The spigot is 400mm in diameter (approximately 16").

The Resort In Ground Fitting is designed specifically for the Resort shademaker. We recommend purchasing this fitting, pouring concrete and then installing the fitting as per our instructions. The gold passivated, metal protected fitting will not rust and gives this very large SHADEmaker the necessary in/underground strength to make it last years and years. The diameter of the plate on the Resort In Ground Fitting is 400mm (approximately 16") and the height of the fitting is 1.0m approximately 39").
