Café-Lido parasols at The Store Oxford Hotel

SHADEmakers collaborated with The Store Oxford management to create sturdy and mobile parasol bases to support our printed all-black Café-Lido easy-up parasols. Unlike typical café parasols that remain stationary, The Store Hotel has timed access to its outdoor road terrace, requiring everything to be disassembled and stored for the terrace to convert between a road and a public space. Our team developed heavy, low-rise steel bases with lockable wheels and welded components to withstand daily movement. It was crucial for the parasols to be robust yet lightweight, hence introducing the new matching black steel bases for our Café-Lido. You can view these at the Store Hotel on Broad Street in Oxford's historic Boswells department store.
